Christy and Kyle {Engaged}

http://simplybeauty-ashleyreed.blogspot.com/2015/08/christy-and-kyle-engaged.html Wow! It's been so long since I've blogged. I've been taking a much needed break to spend time with my family and my new baby! Who is now almost eight months old. Not only that but I also moved across the country and then some...again! We are now currently living it up in Hawaii!

During the move we were able to stop off to see family in California. I was asked to take my cousins engagement photos. I gladly accepted we've been waiting for this couple to tie the knot for so long. We are all so excited! This was actually the first time they've had their pictures taken. I was so happy to be their first photographer ever. It was such a fun casual time we all were just goofy and laughed the whole time. They are such a fun, outgoing, and laid back couple. Congrats Christy and Kyle!! Here are just a few favorites.

Bublitz Family {New England Family Photographer}

I love cute little families like this one. We managed to get one of the last semi-warm days left of the Fall and we took full advantage! We had such a fun time and little William turned on the charm and gave me quite a few smiles. It was so hard to pick my favorites but I managed to narrow it down to a few!

{Murdough Family} New England Photographer

It's the Murdough family again! This family is so much fun to work with and kids are just the cutest. I love all the little faces they make. We went to Minutman National Park {it's one of my favorite spots}. It lets in the most gorgeous light, along with all the beautiful nature. It's filled with so much history and beauty and I love it. During our time together little Owen found a stick and they became best friends. After that the family session turned into a little story about a little boy and his new friend. He didn't like when it was taken away from him. Boys ...right? Whatever makes them smiling and happy.

Williams Family {New England Family Photographer}

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Williams Family. They are such a laid back, relaxed
family and so fun to work with. They had the idea of taking their portraits at there home in Concord.
It was cute and quaint with an amazing view. A cute little picket fence that overlooks a little wooden
staircase that leads down to a little pond. I just loved everything about this family session. It was so
 authentic to them and their personalities. Here are a few of my favorites, it was very hard to choose!

{Beginnings Workshop} Photographers

I recently went to an awesome Photography workshop with the amazing Ashley Poisella of Ashley Therese Photography. The Beginnings workshop was for photographers who were just starting out in their business, or wanting to grow their business. So when I heard about this workshop through Ashley at our recent Pursuit 31 get together I jumped at this awesome opportunity. We met bright and early at the gorgeous Patterson Country Club in Fairfield, Ct. They had reserved a spacious room for us with big comfy couches and drink, and chocolate of course! I can't complain about being able to snack on chocolate all day long. We filled out our requests for lunch and made introductions. We went through so much valuable information. Choosing your ideal client, marketing, finances, goals, utilizing natural light and so much more. They encouraged to ask as many questions as we could think of. Which made it so intimate and comfortable. It was like we were all friends just sitting around talking about our passion for photography.
We had a fancy little Country club style lunch and then my favorite part. We got to photograph a couple who had never been photographed before. Ashley challenged us each to take turns with posing them and interacting with them. While she offered constructive criticism and encouragement. This was such an great opportunity to have. I came away from it learning so much, as well as being a part of a group now that encourages and supports each other. Check out Ashley's blog to read more about the workshop

Here are a few of my favorites from the Couples shoot

Check out my new friends from the workshop.
